I don't go for rocker stories...usually. I was offered this one and decided that I had it so might as well look at it. No drugs, alcohol binges, nasty women. He just happened to be in a good band. This is sweet and good romance. I'm glad I read it.
Logan spent the last 3 years in a relationship with a guy who cheated and wasted her time. She's not looking for a relationship, she wants to spend time focusing on herself. She just graduated college and is starting her new career for a music label in a week. Before she starts her new life, she goes to Hawaii for a week with her best friend. When enjoying some time on the beach, she meets a friendly, inked, gorgeous man and feels an instant attraction to him. Kacen is on break from touring and needs to relax a bit before he goes back to write his next album. He's on vacation in Hawaii and spots a beautiful woman on the beach and something about her calls to him. He's not looking for a relationship but they have one whirlwind week together. When Logan sneaks out in the morning and leaves Hawaii without a goodbye, she thinks it's the last she'll see of Kacen. What she doesn't know is that Kacen is her new boss.

I loved this book. I have really enjoyed every book I have read by this author but this one is by far my favorite. Kacen is such a great book boyfriend. Incredibly sweet and willing to do whatever he has to for his woman. He's not your typical rock star. He's not into the groupie scene and he is just a really good guy. I love that the books start with Logan kicking her jerk of a boyfriend to the curb and moving on with her life. This was such a sweet romance! Highly recommend!
This is the second 5 star rating and the second review I've given today and I'm stingy with both. Ms. Ryan turned rock stars into real people. She simply told a story using real language and real situations and created real, believable characters. Also, it's surprisingly tame in raunchiness factors which, again, helps the believability. Great read. I was so into it that my husband even commented that it must be a really good story because I couldn't stop reading until I finished it. (He got a pot pie for dinner. 😉)
How diffrent the reality is from the fantasy that pours the heart out in the open. It is often hidden, either unseen or unheard. Emphatic is a perfect medicine for la malaise d'amore. The normal guy hurts her badly while extraordinary one night stand material rock star has all in himself. It is a enjoyable read with a healing in it, perhaps envy and jealousy too for their abilty to be happy. I'm happy for them.
Right off the bat I had trouble with this book due to the abundance of errors. Many typos, misuse of words...it just plain needs an editor.

For example

“You’re eyes are...beautiful.”

“...she breaths my name.”

“The silence on the other end of the line is because he ended the call.”

“B_____s be cray-cray.” *shudder*

“You’re all are taking care of our little girl...”

You get the drift. The lack of editing really detracted from the story, which is a shame; it has the potential to be a good read.
Omg! This story was so good! Logan meets Kacen in Hawaii on vacation and they really have a connection. Logan was hurt by her ex and didn't want to trust another guy but Kacen was just perfect. I loved their sweet story and couldn't put this book down. I read it in one sitting lol. Then still couldn't get enough and went on to read the rest of the series. I thought it was well written with amazing characters and a wonderful plot.
This book was so wonderful! Kacen melted my heart all the way through. I also fell in love with the other members of the band. I love books that make you wish you were one of the group, and this book does it for me. The only reason why I gave this book 4.5 stars instead of the full 5 (Even though it doesn’t really matter here) is because, although there was no unnecessary drama (which is a huge plus for me), I felt like it needed a little bit of necessary drama. Everything worked a little too perfectly. Nevertheless, I still loved the book and highly recommend it. Can’t wait to read the next one!
