Alex, expecting to stay a mere two weeks, meets strange townspeople, a classy medium, and discovers the latent psychic ability of her own adorable nephew--while doing her best to reunite the spirits of the house's previous mistress and her lover. Deliciously creepy, sexy, and romantic by turns, this is everything I wanted in a dark and stormy night read. Natalie, I'd love to see them get a series!

The best thing about this book was the cover art and the synopsis. Endless passive voice marred the quality of the writing and, because this story is in first person present tense, distracted away from the actual story. Some paragraphs had every sentence starting with the word "the." The book wasn't formatted correctly and there was no chapter separations on any of my kindle devices. Also, the story was trite at best. Convenient and predictable at times. Although, overall, the writing wasn't terrible and the story had good promise, a deeper edit might've helped this along. The opening begins as interesting though Alex becomes boring and spineless within a few pages. An archeologist should've been a bit harder about things. She came across that way and crumbled in about five seconds when something eerie was mentioned. She excavates Egyptian tombs. I expected more from her. She wasn't very likeable. I wouldn't recommend this story as is.
I'm giving this story three stars (I wanted to do 1 or 2) because I feel a lot of the issues I had with this story stem from poor editing/publishing issues rather than the author's writing itself. The purpose of the editing process is to improve the quality. I think this story could have been really good. Hopefully the author will consider this.
Really sexy, fascinating ghost story with realistic characters. Didn't want to put it down until the end.
Good read I do enjoy a mystery
Very interesting from the beginning. A great fall in love book.
I chose this rating because this book was a easy read with great/interesting characters and a storyline that fit with the characters. I really liked how the ghost didn't really solve the mystery Alex and Trudy did. I would definitely recommend this book.
This was an exceptional story. So sweet, so beautiful it was a wonderfully magic story of everlasting love. Bless & Victoria were wonderful, loving characters torn from their time before they had a chance to experience life to its fullest. Alex and Trudy are perfect in this and their journey makes the story just that much sweeter.
Ghosts, fate, anxiety, tension, humor, forbidden love, true love and combine this and you got a breathtaking story. This story had me at the edge of my seat, a real page turner. There were 3 scenes that I particularly loved. These were the seance, the scene at the pond and the scene in the bathroom. I have enjoyed it immensely and I highly recommend this book.
