I rated this four stars because the story line and plots were great. I loved the characters and how they worked through their problems. It was well edited which I have found important to many people. I took off one star because sometimes there was too much unneeded information that seem to slow down the flow of the story. But I would recommend this book to friends.Product details

I have never read a novel whose character gripped me like Ruell! Well. Perhaps Scarlet O'Hara! This novel is a must read!!
I have read everything Chris has ever written...this is by far the best characters....the most intriguing story ...and the most unique of all her works. I LOVED it!
Don't wait get it now and read it twice.

Chris Rogers has done it again. I loved these characters and their adventures. A Houston cop named Longshadow and a being from another planet. You can't beat this book for entertainment. I look forward to more on these two intriguing characters from the fascinating Ms. Chris. Great fun.
Not for Sissies by RJCoolRide
I've read this author's short stories. They're great. First sentence, you're hooked, so I expected the same when I sprang for the big read, Emissary. Yes, you're right there on Air Force One, when President Hale gets a brief marked URGENT. Then before you finish page 2, an invisible ExtraTerrestrial hitchhiker jumps from the president's teacup into her head without riffling a single neuron.
Hmmmm... interesting.
But the author makes you work for it. You have to think about what you're reading. Ruell, the ET in this book, is every bit as frightened as a front-line soldier on his first mission in Afghanistan, and not nearly as well trained, since no Szhen emissary has yet succeeded in communicating their dire need for a new home and the valuable assets they offer in exchange.
No fluff here. This is a book for readers who enjoy words and speculation and vivid, unforgettable characters. The action picks up and builds all the way to the end. Once hooked, I couldn't put it down.
